We are RNID, a national charity working to make life fully inclusive for deaf people and those with hearing loss or tinnitus. We’ve been helping people with hearing loss for more than 100 years, and have changed the lives of millions since we started.

In the UK, 1 in 5 adults are deaf or have hearing loss and 1 in 8 have tinnitus. Despite this, many of them face barriers that make their day to day life more difficult – and this needs to stop.

We are campaigning for a society where deaf people and those with hearing loss or tinnitus are fully included. We want to connect people to practical advice and pioneer new treatment for people with hearing loss and tinnitus wherever they are, whenever they need it. We’re here to support GPs and GP trainees to be deaf aware and equip them with the tools they need to support their patients who are deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus, so that primary care services are accessible to all.
