Dr Devina Maru

Dr Devina Maru is a GP Specialty Registrar in London and the RCGP National Clinical Champion for Deafness and Hearing Loss. She completed her Masters in Audiological Science, Faculty of Brain Sciences at UCL, during her medical degree. She has clinical experience in audiology including both NHS and private sector in hearing and balance, audiology rehabilitation, and paediatric audiology. Dr Maru has contributed to ENT related consultations from NICE, UK National Screening Committee and reviewed NIHR research proposals for the Health Technology Assessment Programme. She’s currently working with the team at NIHR James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnerships for anosmia and ageusia. She was invited to sit on the global Ototoxicity Committee, for the Department of Defence Hearing Centre of Excellence, Pharmaceutical Interventions Hearing Loss Working Group, after publishing her national research. It comprises doctors, scientists and researchers across the world helping the Department of Health, veterans, and civilian populations.
