Dr Nadja van Ginneken
Nadja van Ginneken is a NIHR clinical GP lecturer at the University of Liverpool and a general practitioner at Brownlow Health GP practice. Her overarching research interest is in access to primary health care, and in particular primary mental health care and social prescribing. She has specific interests in refugee health, hard-to-reach groups, human resources and models of care. She has worked in low resource settings in India, Senegal and South Africa, and has worked the last 3 years towards translating this work to the UK and other European settings. She uses mixed methods approaches including historical analysis, qualitative and quantitative methods. Nadja contributes within the Department of Primary Care and Mental Health to their aims of conducting applied research to low resource populations and addressing health inequalities. Other roles include medical student teaching, being a PGR Wellbeing Ambassador Lead and a member of the Athena Swan committee.
