Dr Victoria Silverwood
Dr V Silverwood MBChB(Dist), PGCE(MedEd), PGDip(MedSci), MRCGP, MPhil.
Victoria studied medicine at Keele University, graduating in 2012. She completed both Academic Foundation Programme and Academic Clinical Fellow GP training posts in North Staffordshire and qualified as a GP in 2019. During her training she completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education, a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Sciences and a MPhil degree.
Currently she works clinically as a salaried GP two days a week at Honeywall Medical Practice in Stoke-on-Trent and is a Wellcome Trust Clinical PhD Fellow at Keele University. Her PhD is based around Optimal Interventions for Perinatal Anxiety.
Alongside her PhD, she teaches undergraduate medical students at Keele University and is a committee member of the ‘Primary care Academic CollaboraTive’ (PACT) which aims to encourage and facilitate greater involvement in primary care research.
