Professor Joanne Reeve
Joanne is an inner city academic GP with expertise in the knowledge work of primary care clinical practice. Her work seeks to champion through clinical scholarship the practice of thoughtful, tailored, whole-person primary healthcare. She works as a salaried GP in Hull, and as professor of primary care research and Director of the Academy of Primary Care at Hull York Medical School. She is internationally known for her work on medical generalism. She leads applied research tackling the key challenges of modern practice including polypharmacy, multimorbidity, and beyond protocol care. She leads the WISE GP Programme – a partnership between the RCGP and the Society for Academic Primary Care.
